Goodbye Etios, Say Hello To New Toyota Yaris Ativ

The Japanese auto giant has announced that there won't be an updated etios for the indian market. Instead, toyota brings the stunning Yaris Ativ to India. The ongoing etios didn't get enough sale apart from the cab buyers due to its boring looks and tight competition. There was a huge gap between etios and the corolla in which the majority of Indian customers preferred  on to. Toyota finally realizing their mistake, has decided to replace etios with the new Yaris Ativ.

Is it a new car?? No. The Yaris Ativ is series that has been around since 1999. The current generation Yaris is already on sale in Thailand. In Thailand, the Yaris only gets the 1.2 litre petrol option which makes 87 hp coupled with a CVT automatic transmission. While coming to India, Yaris could get the 1.4 litre diesel in either etios's or corolla's configuration.

If toyota can fit the car into sub 4 metre, the yaris ativ will be a strong opponent for compact sedans like swift dzire. The car undoubtedly has great visual treatment which woos the Indian customers. Play it right and Yaris ativ could be the next compact sedan leader.

Ford Ecosport Facelift: All you need to know

Ford Ecosport is one of the pioneers in the sub 4 meter compact SUV market in India. With decent performance and phenomenal mileage, the Ecosport really lived up to its name and set the sales chart on fire. the 1.0 litre turbo charged 3 cylinder engine produced 123 bhp and 170 nm of torque which is quite a big figure for a 3 cylinder 1000cc engine. However, the reign of Ford Ecosport had to come to an end with the arrival of maruthi suzuki vitara brezza. brezza stole the sales from ecosport because of the fact that, in India, maruthi just sells!!. In order to regain thier lost position, Ford is stepping up their game with the all new upcoming Ecosport Facelift. Here is a sneak peek into the upcoming Ecosport. Design The only factor that backed some people from buying the ecosport was the design. An SUV is supposed to look mean and aggressive which didn't make any sense with the old ecosport. Ford has finally managed to add that missing element to t...

Bajaj Launching 400cc Avenger, Very Soon

The Bajaj Dominar didn't do any well when they tried to take on the royal enfield motorcycles. Even though both belong in different segment, bajaj tried to get a hold of the market where Royal Enfield bikes are selling like hot cakes. Bajaj has realized that despite being a great bike, the Dominar still can't contend with RE. So, the possible solution? yes, the Avenger 400. If the reports are true, the new avenger will share the engine from dominar. But it will be mostly detuned a little bit so as to provide more low end torque which is needed for the cruiser bikes. Currently, Avenger is available in 150 and 220 cc options. The Avenger is well known for the comfortable ergonomics that is well suited for long rides. the only missing element was a powerful engine. It is safe to assume that Bajaj will work on Reinforced and stronger frame to adopt the performance upgrades. Bajaj will be able to keep the pricing at minimum since both the body and eng...

Why AHO is a Big Joke on Indian Roads

It has been 6 months since the government made Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) compulsory for 2 wheelers in India. the new order created quite a fuzz in the two wheeler motorcycle market. Even though AHO was introduced to reduce number of accidents, does it really fulfill its purpose? let's find out! 1. You Can't Flash Pass Light Anymore Yes, with the headlamp running all the time, it is not possible to flash your headlights while performing an overtaking maneuver or taking a turn. oh the irony....if you can't use the pass light, it is riskier to ride on busy roads. well done government. 2. Reduced Performance and Battery Life Reduced battery life..hmm okay. reduced performance? don't scratch your head. It seems that new policy has taken a toll on the overall performance as well. the perfect example would be the comparison of bs3 and bs4 honda hornet 160r. if you remember, the bs3 hornet made a peak power of 15.67 HP. But the new bs4 version churns out only ...
