Ford Figo Cross to Rival i20 Active and Etios Cross

Let's face it. India is a country with quite a lot of pot hole ridden roads. Every time we pass through a damaged road section, we bite our nails wondering whether the car will scrape the surface due to the low ground clearance. That is the reason why Crossovers like i20 active and etios cross makes sense to a lot of people for their increased ground clearance. Entering the segment is the new Ford Figo Cross.

Design













Aesthetically, it looks very better than the current i20 active and etios cross and makes some resemblance to the urban cross from fiat. The front end will share the same characteristics like the figo s, including the smoked headlamps and honeycomb mesh grille. 

Engine

The Figo Cross is expected to powered by the new dragon series engines. Which means that the petrol variant will also become a fun to ride machine with the new 1.5 litre 3 cylinder enginew that produces peak power between 110 and 120 HP..

The Reason why there is sudden shift in interest to compact SUVs from sedans is partially due to the increase in ground clearance that gives the confidence to tackle damaged roads without breaking a sweat. with more and more hatchbacks being converted to crossovers, the indian customers wouldn't have to spend the premium of a compact SUV to contend with Indian roads.
